- Excel logbook
- Polarization Efficiency & HWP angle at 450 μm
- Note: 450 micron HWP was installed on Dec. 29
- Note: V-null is 52-53 according to JEV e-mail as documented on V-null document on analysis logbook
- Using HWP = 2 * V_null_rel = 2 * (V_null_encoder - "first_angle"), one gets HWP flag = +5 from this
value of V-null.
April / May 2008 Run
- John and Darren did set-up in late April. Giles' E-mail records confirm that this run was a 450 micron run.
- Airmass Curves (GIF, PS)
- Excel logbook
- Plate Scale for May 2008
- RGM file
- HWP Zero Angle --> -hwp input is 6 degrees for 450 μm data.
- Pointing Model Excel
file. Pointing extracted for Mars, DR21, and CB68 in "Sheet 3",
and in respective list files in
~sharp/Runs/2008may/process/ directories on zamin."Sheet 1"
in Excel fie also includes M82, but I have not checked how good it is
for M82.
- Using HWP = 2 * V_null_rel = 2 * (V_null_encoder - "first_angle"), one gets V-null = 53 from the
above value of the hwp flag (+6)
June 2008 Run
- This was a 350 micron run
- The 350 HWP was installed June 1, 2008; but before this was done it was verified by GN that the 450 HWP had been installed correctly
- V-Null was measured to be 97 degrees a few days later
July 2008 Run
- This was a 350 micron run
- V-Null was measured to be roughly half-way between 95 and 100 degrees on July 24, 2008
July / August 2008 Run
Early Sept. 2008 Run
Oct./Nov. 2008 Run
Jan. 2009 Run
- This was a 450 micron run
- At the start of the run, John installed the 450 HWP (installed Jan. 21, 2009)
- Set-up Notes
- Excel Logbook
- RGM file
- Smoothed-tau...
- for objects W3IRS5, L1527, and L1524: can be found on zamin.astro.uwo.ca:~sharp/Runs/process/2009jan/OBJECT_NAME/list.all. These list.all files are the inputs to be used for sharp_combine with a column of filenames and a column of smoothed tau225 values. As of 2009-March-6, they do not also include pointing info.
- HWP Zero Angle --> -hwp input is 5 degrees.
- Pointing Model RMS residuals ~ 2 arcsec
March 2009 Run
- This was a 450 micron run
- The V-null was found to be about 50 degrees (Giles' by eye estimate from John's notes in instrument log)
- Excel Logbook
- RGM file
- HWP Zero Angle --> -hwp input is 25 degrees.
- Smoothed-tau...
- for objects CB68, G49.4m0.3, and G49.2m0.3b: can be found on zamin.astro.uwo.ca:~sharp/Runs/2009mar/process/OBJECT_NAME/list. These "list" files are the inputs to be used for sharp_combine with a column of filenames and a column of smoothed tau225 values. As of 2009-May-12, they do not also include pointing info.

March 2010 Run
April 2010 Run
- The wavelength for this run was 350 microns.
- Excel logbook
- RGM file
- The night of 4/22/10 is affected by a strange problem. Sharpinteg
reports a 0.0 nod length. Also, Nicholas' program printrawstats.py tells
us that the azo_chop is 0.0. Sharpinteg refuses to analyze the file
unless you override the check for chop throw and nod length being equal.
However, the Saturn data appeared to be fine. Brightness level and size
are comparable to the data collected in similar conditions on 4/24/10.
For example, compare files 50254 and 50378. It is not clear exactly what
was going on. See the email from Hiroshige Yoshida about this here.
May-June 2010 Run
July 2010 Run
- The wavelength was 450 microns.
- The 450 HWP was installed by John on July 5th
- Lingzhen says he used hwp = 4 for his 2013 M17 paper, and he thinks he got this number from John (note added by Giles Aug. 2013)
- V-null was then found to be somewhere near 50 degrees (Giles' by eye estimate of John's notes in the instrument log)
- Excel logbook
- RGM file
- Giles' e-mail records say that on June 19 John measured V-null = 97.7. This would have been for the 350 micron waveplate

Nov 2010 Run
April/May 2011 Run
- Excel logbook
- The wavelength was 350 microns.
- HWP Zero Angle --> -hwp input is 90 degrees.
- An RGM file was created using scans of ρOph, CAL_16293m2422, and CAL_IRC10216: rgm_2011apr.dat. This file is the default in the data reduction directories for 2011Apr on kilauea.

- OpenOffice logbook
- Excel logbook
- RGM file
- The wavelength was 350 microns.
- Smoothed tau fits can be found here: SmoothTau. The file smoothtau.txt contains
the data file to use when processing data (fitgauss.py or point.py).
The .dat files are the raw data, the .png files are plots of the fits.
