Instrument Polarization Measurements for July 2006

All data points below are for Jupiter. The fit uses only data with intensities greater than 90% of the peak intensity in each file. Append the numbers "03" to all four-digit file numbers to determine the sharcii-data file number.

More details on the fitting procedure can be found in the IP Convention Memo. The data and fit numbers below are measured at the detector ("raw"). Note that φ'telescope is 90° rather than 0° becuse the HWP zero angle was wrongly assumed to be 0° in the coordinate transformation rather than 90°. This was just so my code would not also transform the data points out of the detector reference frame. However, the fit IP Stokes are correct, with the exception that the sign of q'telescope should be flipped.

The plots at left show the IP points from 28 polarization files taken on Jupiter.

The plots at left show the file numbers for the Jupiter files at the location of their data points.
