This will allow 9 data channels plus one on-board spare. (40 total channels). 2) Fiber-optic Logic boards (1 operational + 1 spare). 3) Nubus/DSP card (1 operational + 1 spare). HOUSING: 4) Double Height, 19" rack mount VME Crate. (Will house operational as well as spare cards). 5) A/D battery power supplies, housing and batteries (1 operational + 1 spare). CABLES: 6) 32 contact, circular, shielded, twisted pair data cables of length to be specified (a.k.a.preamp to A/D cables, 2 operational + 2 spares) 7) Battery power supply cables, power units to A/D Crate (1 operational + 1 spare). Length will be 10 feet unless specified otherwise. 8) Single Mode fiber-optic cable (2 operational + 2 spare). Length to be determined (See NOTE B). NOTES: A) All data connectors will be RF Choke, 37 pin D-Shell. B) Filber optic cables commercially available up to 10 meters. Any length greater will need special handling or construction. C) Preamp Design/Construction not within scope of this task.
