Summary of dicussion during chop-nod analysis telecon of Oct. 24, 07 Martin, Hiroko, Mike, John, Giles _________________________________________________________________ M82 data from February 2007: Mike posted a new memo on this a few days before the telecon. We discussed it extensively. Several changes were suggested/discussed: section I: need to revisit criteria for excluding scans section II: should we test the -c flag? It has not been tested much, but could be helpful. This is not necessarily something Mike needs to do in his M82 memo. Mike needs to revisit bad HWP angles. Examine files using method given in cheet-sheet but note offsets can be present even when hwp is working well. We adopted 3 degrees error as the criterion for rejecting files. (However, in view of the offset, presumably this criterion applies to differences between hwp positions, not absolutes.) section III John suggests recasting this discussion using formulas as in his posted analysis of DR 21. Giles offered to rewrite DG Tau memo to emphasize relationship to this previous effort. section Va Need to use 4.7 arcsec per pixel, not 4.6 The following items were not discussed on the telecon: IDL bug on zamin linked list-serves for SHARP _____________________________________________________________
