My notes are sparse, but I know we discussed polsharp3, and some of its 
options:

maxsig - minimum sigma vector to plot (often set to 3)

sig2   - minimum sigma vector to plot, below maxsig (often set to 2)

skipv  - plots only every Nth vector.  Default is 4 which plots a vector 
every ~4 arcseconds.  Often we use 8 so that the vectors are more or less 
independent.
