First SPARO science: Polarimetry of
NGC 6334-I, with calibration to
be made on 20 km/s cloud.
Coordinates of the center of the 20 km/s cloud (a.k.a. M-0.13-0.08)
are estimated from the map in Lis et al. 1994, also reproduced in
Novak et al. 2000, and shown there with CSO 350 micron polarimetry
vectors superposed.
They are (-5' 09" in dec and -2.6 s of R.A.) relative to Sgr A*.
Using the J2000 Sgr A* coordinates of Rogers et al. 1994 (ApJ),
we get the following:
J2000 coords of 20 km/s cloud center:
17 h 45 m 37.4 s
-29 d 05 ' 37 "
For NGC 6334-I, want pixel 5 pointed at
Az-averaged SPO
for NGC 6334-I. And want chop of 0.5 degree. For 20 km/s
cloud, will need to use
Sgr B2 as a pointing reference,
and will need to use
a small chop (about 0.1 deg) to be compatible with CSO.

For this analysis, i.p. was determined using the Moon observations.
